"Back"

So John and I never made it on our Xmas trip out to Michigan :( We both came down with bad colds and had to stay home. I am lucky b/c I have the whole week off from work. I don't have too much planned... I would like to do some after Christmas shopping, but I really should be saving my money. So I think I might clean my closet and do things around the apartment instead.

I always find Jan and Feb to be so blah. I am ready for the winter to be over. I need some outfit inspirations to get me through, and I love these two looks from Lucky Mag Online.

One More Post Before I Go...

I always have the hardest time packing when I go away on a trip... esp in the winter. I laid out all the clothes I was thinking of bringing with me, and everything seems to be gray and black. I think my sister in law is rubbing off on me... she will understand if she is reading this ;)

I am not bringing anything too crazy with me this holiday season... a few sweaters, jeans/leggings, boots, and a good winter jacket since I am headed someplace COLD.

Recent Thrift Finds

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!

I have found some fun items this past week during my thrifting adventures. The first two are a gold bangle and a vintage ring from Savers. The bracelet was $6 and the ring was $5.

Then the best purchase of the week definitely has to be this vintage Gucci wallet I found in a barn sale down the Cape. It was marked as $2 and then was 20% off. Yep, vintage Gucci for $1.60. I love the bright red inside.

My exciting giveaway that I had mentioned earlier is actually going to start next Wednesday. Def stay tuned!!!!

Jewel Mint

I first read about Jewel Mint in November's InStyle magazine. A club for jewelry lovers? Sign me up! First you fill out a "style profile" and then the site makes jewelry selections for you based on the results. You have the option to pick 1 piece of jewelry from the site each month in exchange for your membership fee.

My November selection was this gorgeous pair of earrings, and my December selection was this pyramid stud bracelet. The quality is very good and the packaging is super cute. I would def recommend it!

Stay tuned!!!! I should have an exciting giveaway tomorrow :)

Inexpensive Christmas Present Ideas

I am so excited for Christmas this year!!! I love buying gifts for people, but sometimes it can get a bit costly. Here are are some of my favorite ideas for memorable yet inexpensive Christmas presents:

Traincase, wine bottle

The train case and scarf can be purchased at a local thrift store. I would buy a fun printed vintage scarf (usually $1-$5) and a bottle of sparkling wine. I also like to buy vintage jewelry at thrift stores all year long and then save them for gifts. Every girl loves jewerly and you don't have to spend alot to get a nice piece.
