Bronze and Silver

This morning Amy and I headed up to Todd's Farm Antique Flea Market in Rowley, MA for a little late season shopping. I am not sure if it is because it was so late in the season or because we didn't get there until later in the morning, but it seemed like there weren't many vendors around. I did find some great stuff, though.

Here it is:

A golden bronze cuff and mesh collar, a tiny silver trophy bowl, and a silver piece for the wedding.

Nordstrom Rack

Besides Savers, I think that Nordstrom Rack is one of my favorite stores. I usually always hit up the clearance racks, and they never disappoint. This Saturday my future sister in law Anne and I made a quick trip to Savers and Nordstrom Rack before the shower. I found this cropped Vince sweater at NR for $20 on clearance and this fun bracelet at Savers for $5.99. Actually Anne is the one who spotted the bracelet in the cabinet, but I am the one who scooped it up ;)

Wedding Attire

I am going to a wedding in two weeks and am not sure what to wear. I always find getting dressed for a formal event in the winter kind-of hard because no matter what, I am usually cold. I think I am def going to wear the simple black dress I got back in August (post here) and then will add some sort of accessories. I am thinking a vintage fur wrap, lace tights and heels, but I also like this simple monochromatic J Crew look. What do you guys think? The wedding is in PA and will probably be "cocktail casual".

PS. Happy Friday!!!!

Yep, More Fur

Lately my friend Nora and I have been obsessed with faux fur. We each have 2 fur vests. My bridal shower is this Saturday and we were joking that we could lend our vests to the other bridesmaids so we could all have fur coordinated outfits ;)

I found this vest at Marshalls. I love it!!!! It is an early bday present to myself.

You know how I always say I am going to go on a shopping diet? Well this time I really have to stick to it. With the holidays coming up I need to focus on buying presents. Has anyone started their holiday shopping yet?

LBD - Turtleneck Version

I had been looking for a black turtleneck sweater dress for a little bit, and finally found one at TJ Maxx over the weekend. I love basic dresses b/c you can jazz them up with so many different items. Sweater dresses are perfect work items for me because they look professional, keep me warm, and are easy to throw on and style in the morning. What is your "go to" work item?

Furriness

I bought this sweater last month at Savers. I threw it on today b/c its cold and rainy outside and I knew it was the perfect thing to keep me warm. I decided to go one step further and pin a vintage fur collar to it. The pictures came out kind-of dark, but what do you guys think? I like it, but I am not 100% sure. I also think I might be allergic to it b/c all of a sudden my nose is stuffed up and my eyes itch... hee hee hee.

The Big One

I have a BIG birthday coming up, and to celebrate this year I decided to have a shopping party at a local boutique. They offer wine and hour d'oeuvres, and my friends and I get to take over the store. I want to wear something over the top and fabulous, so I am thinking sequins, lace, and faux/vintage fur.

Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

Savers Saturday

Yesterday morning Amy, Nora, and our friend Liz met up at Savers in Framingham, MA for some early morning shopping. Nora and I are helping Liz with a Closet Consultation and we decided to start at Savers to find inexpensive belts, scarves, and jewelry. Liz found some great items, and of course, I did as well.

I found this Banana Republic Trench, Kate Spade leopard print flats, and a military-esque button down.

More of The Belt

Today I am wearing my straight from the 1970's jeans with the leopard belt and a long sleeve tee from Forever 21. I am not sure what to pair it with. The cardigan is super soft but might be too boring and the fur vest might be a bit too crazy for work. What do you guys think?

PS. Happy Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Little Bit of Leopard

This outfit is pretty boring... black sweater, leggings, and boots. I decided to add a little bit of leopard to jazz things up. I still think it needs one more thing... maybe a necklace or scarf? I was going to give this sweater away because I thought maybe it was a little dated (long sweater with leggings). I was in Forever 21 last night and tried on something similar so that is why I decided to give it a chance. What do you guys think?

Happy Thursday! 1 more day to go! I will leave you with pictures of my cats ;)

Lady Like Bags

Structured lady-like handbags have been shown a lot for fall. I love the vintage appeal, but I find that having to carry around one of these bags can be kind-of a pain. That is why my Alexis Hudson purse is a perfect hybrid! Its lady like and structured, but I can throw it over my shoulder. The strap can also be detached to make a fun clutch.
