Leopard and Lace

It's been so humid the past few days! Ugh. The weird in between weather always poses a challenge when getting dressed. Today I opted for a thrifted lace blouse and my new leopard scarf paired w/ some basic jeggings. I am also wearing a tiny Ettika bracelet I found at the W Hotel boutique on Monday.

Boston Fashion Week

Yes, Boston has a fashion week. Its not as exciting as NYC, but there are definitely some fun events. Tonight my friend Nora and I met up with Amy of Stylish Year for the Second Time Around fashion show at the W Hotel. I had to bring my old camera because it was small enough to fit in my purse, and it didn't take the best pics, but I tried to snap of few of the event. After the show Nora and I checked out the boutique at the hotel, and it was AMAZING! If you like accessories, I would definitely recommend stopping by.

Thrifting Sneak Peak

Savers did not disappoint today! Found a ponyskin zebra print belt and a cheetah (?) print scarf. I found two other exciting items but they will make appearances later ;)

Roar!!!!

Leopard print is huge for fall. I mentioned this in my last post, but I am hoping to find a few animal print accessories to add to my wardrobe this season. I did a quick search on Ebay and Etsy and found a few budget friendly options here, here, and here.

After being laid off from 2 (!) jobs this year and being in the process of planning a wedding, things are a bit tight for me financially. Therefore hopefully I will be able to find a few things on my list while thrifting the next few months! I seem to have had good luck in the past so we will see.

Have any of you found things on your wish list while fall shopping at thrift stores this season?

Mustard

I feel like fall sneaked up on us so quickly this year that I haven't had a chance to get my fall stuff together. If you notice the junk pile in the background, its because I am pulling everything out of "storage" and going through my sweaters, etc.

I found this sweater last year in the $3 bin of my fav vintage shop. I think it will look better paired w/ my high waisted jeans, but its raining today and I don't feel like wearing them (I HATE when the hems of jeans get wet). I decided to go w/ a J Crew vibe and pile on lots of glizty jewels. Feeling kind-of "meh" about the look, though. What do you guys think?

NYC

This past weekend my friends and I met in New York City for my bachelorette party. It was so much fun! My best friend intentionally planned it so we could attend Fashion's Night Out, and we had the change to attend the Renegade Blogger Meet Up in Central Park. SAVERS! (again)

Yes, I will admit that I have a little bit of an obsession with Savers. I honestly find amazing things every time I go, though. Today I found an awesome pair of clogs for $5.99 and this large vintage sweater that I plan on using as a "jacket" come colder weather for $3.99. I actually like this whole outfit together.

Lucky

One of my favorite magazines is Lucky, and I excitedly look forward to its arrival in my mailbox at the beginning of every month. The September issue featured this little article that I loved. I think this look is def easy to recreate with items I already own, and I can't wait to try it out when the weather gets a bit cooler.

Savers Sunday

Remember this post from a few weeks ago? Well, today Nora and I went to Savers, and I found the exact belt I was looking for! So exciting! I also found a very J Crew-esque one as well. Both belts were $3.99... not bad.

I am feeling lazy today. I think this shirt is technically a dress, but I usually wear it as a tunic. Just wearing it w/ some legging pants and a fun vintage belt.
