Scenes From Around the House

Hope everyone is having a great end of weekend. John and I spent most of last weekend and this weekend working on our bedroom. This was the wallpaper before:

Ew. I hated the room so much I spent the least time in there as possible. I wanted to paint the room a really light blue, but we ended up with a medium blue. Oh well. John and I hung $2 thrift store frames on the wall for a "headboard" and I bought two new pillows at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Speaking of pillows, mine always look messy. Any tips on making them look neater?

I also framed two pages from an antique autograph book I had and picked up a few desk accessories. The cup is for pens and the box is for miscellaneous items (total cost $5).

Finally I purchased this industrial looking chair for less than $20 at a local antique store. I am currently using it as my desk chair.

That box is beautiful! I am on the hunt right now for a jewelry box that opens that way. I have one that is more vertical now and I hate it, I want a box type one with compartments and is both functional and cute...I'm having trouble.
