Blogger Swap + Winner

Hello! This week's Friday's Fancies is "Blog Swap". Each blogger was paired with another girl with similar style and we were asked to create outfits for each other. I was paired with Wendy from Spikes & Sparkles. Wendy and I exchanged a few emails describing our styles and what types of outfits we would like and how they would fit in with our lifestyle. Here is the outfit Wendy created for me and a description of how she chose it.

"Hi there! As part of this week's Friday's Fancies Blog Swap, I was lucky enough to be paired with Brianne. While I only recently became acquainted with her blog, I quickly fell in love with Brianne's sense of style and amazing jewelry/accessory finds and collection. I was inspired to create two outfit looks for Brianne - an everyday look for work and a look for a date night with her husband.

For day, I went with a comfortable yet put together look featuring khakis, a chambray shirt, colorful sweater and loafers that would work just as well whether Brianne is working on her jewelry business at home or selling vintage pieces at a local antique mall. The bold breastplate necklace and fun cuff gives the outfit some pizzazz, and I thought Brianne would love the pieces.

For date night, I focused on a monochromatic look to allow the accessories to pop. A chunky sweater dress is warm and chic, and the thick tights and wedge booties are perfect for keeping warm in the Chicago area while still looking fabulous. Mixed metal jewelry (rose gold claw earring, bronze talon cuff, and eternity snake rings) by some of Brianne's favorite jewelry designers elevates the outfit and shines against the otherwise "nude" outfit. A python envelope clutch adds another touch of texture and pattern."
