I love Tom Bins jewelry, but when I saw these earrings for $230, I got a little annoyed. Basically they are rhinestone earrings with safety pins... nothing too crazy. So I decided to try and make my own inspired DIY necklace. I purchased a really pretty rhinestone necklace from the antique mall for $20, a box of safety pins for $2, and used the same spray paint as last week.
I might add more safety pins, but right now I like the subtle pop of color.

I love it!
I like Tom Binns Jewelry a bunch also - his necklaces are just killer - but the price is insane for what is, essentially, a bunch of rhinestone strands strung together.
Brianne,
I see these types of necklaces all the time! I think I need to invest in one! Love how you added the safety pins!!! For the spray paint... did you need a top coat or anything?
