It's Hard

The reason I usually never post pictures of myself on my blog is:

1. Neither my husband nor I are very good at taking pictures (he took the picture above... bad)
2. I am really self conscious about how unphotogenic I am (not fishing for compliments... I just know its true) I always cringe when I see pictures of myself so I don't like to put myself through that torture on a daily basis.

Anyways, I would like to start posting more outfit pictures on my blog so I need to get over my fears and also figure out a way for me to take the pictures. Today I decided to try my tripod and self timer. Not the greatest, but here is what I am wearing...

Blazer and sweater - Old Navy
Necklace - Kelly Wearstler (Christmas gift to myself)
Jeans - From a clothing swap
Boots - Target

Also here is a picture of me looking like a ghost ;)

I think you have done very well. All fears considered. I am not a happy bunny in front of the camera either. Xxxx

I love it...and your outfit!! It's nerve-wracking getting in front of the camera. That's why I haven't done it in a while, but it does get easier and also helps with simply accepting and loving how you look! YOU, my dear, look beautiful!

Self-portraits are very hard. It's a crazy combination of lighting, posing, setting, and luck. I think you look great and I like that you're using the tripod because it's easier to see all the details of your outfit. It'll get easier the more you experiment. I love that necklace, you always have the best jewelry.

Aghhhh! I like the quirky pic of you looking like a ghost! Its a bit scary putting a pic of yourself up. I just did it for the first time and I feel a bit funny about it!

I think you are doing a great job. If you are going to try to use the tripod put a full length mirror behind it so as you are posing you'll know how the picture turned out.

LOL. You're funny. My boyfriend takes my photos...I hate how I come out in .99% of them. Trust me, I delete a ton! That's the beauty of digital.
