I have had this black winter jacket for about 6 or 7 years. Its a nice winter jacket, but a bit plain, so I decided to jazz it up. At first I was going to add a vintage fur collar (which I will probably still do... just haven't gotten around to it yet), but I decided to add this vintage red belt while I was in a rush yesterday. The great thing about adding belts to coats is that you can change them up as much as you want to suit your mood and style.
And since people asked, here is a picture of the vintage mesh collar in action. I didn't do anything too crazy with it... just paired it with a crew neck sweater. Any styling tips would be appreciated!

Love the belt with that coat, perfect little pop! You've inspired me to try belting a few of my coats. And I have been thinking of buying a faux fur collar for my dress coat. That and opera length gloves, and I would be set for the holidays in a very Mad Men sort of way!
