I found this necklace at the thrift store a few weeks ago, and while I kind-of disliked it, I also thought it was kind-of cool at the same time. I think it actually think its coordinates well w/ my thrift store sweatshirt too.... probably also from the 80s.

I like it! It reminds me of a necklace that I had when I was little that was made from wood and had little parrots on it.
My Monday was horrible though! I had to two hours in line at the campus parking bureau, and then 30 minutes waiting to make copies at my office, and then had run a variety of boring errands. I was sooo tired by the time I got home!
I hope that your Monday was much lovelier!
oh oh! I do this too! I find something and think hideous? or so fabulous? Usually those items end up being my favorite ones. I like it (the necklace).

i have a belt from the 80s i've been itching to put in my wardrobe somewhere. its got teeth and leopard skin and bone-colored beads. i'm in lovelovelove with it, but it doesn't match any of my 50s or 60s playtime dresses.
this necklace is fantastic though, especially for a thrift-store find. well done.
